The Solar Energy Research Institute of Singapore (SERIS) and Infrastructure Asia (IA) jointly conducted the 1st Webinar on Floating Solar: Fast Growing Opportunities & Bankability Considerations on 25 June 2020. Over 250 participants joined us to hear about latest global and regional floating solar market trends (presented by SERIS), key technical risk mitigation considerations for floating solar projects (presented by DNV GL), and two prominent case studies in Vietnam and Taiwan (presented by the Asian Development Bank and DBS).

The aim of the webinar was to help disseminate knowledge, experiences and best practices on floating solar, with a focus on bankability and financial structuring, but also to better understand the risk perception and the views from the financial sector on the bankability of such projects and help shape the future research needs to support this with relevant data and experiences. .

The 2 hour webinar session was informative and interactive (with short polling session between each talk), and it gathered an amazing turnout of more than 250 participants across various industries.
